The Domaine de la Landelle has 19 ha
of Muscadet from Sèvre and Maine with "Melon de Bourgogne" grape
variety, 3 ha of Gros Plant local Nantes with "Folle blanche" grape
variety and 2 Ha of Gamay.
Our vines are ploughed in rotation, so that the roots can draw on
their food in the heart of the soil of a schistose soil. The low
pruning increases the sun reflection that gives the grapes their
degrees.
A team of grape pickers gathers by hand the whole harvest by selecting
the best grapes to optimize the quality of our vintages. |

After a slight racking, the grape juice of Muscadet
from Sèvre and Maine and Gros Plant local Nantes ferments for three
weeks at 20 degrees.
A refrigeration unit regulates the temperature. The wine is
ripening all through winter on its lees, before a natural clarifying
process.
The wine is bottled at the beginning of the spring. |

The old vines that are thirty or forty years old have a
low yield but they enable to obtain a "vin de garde", i.e. a wine that
is suitable for ageing: its slight bitterness enables to keep it for
several years. This wine highlights fish cooked in a sauce or certain
white meats. |

Red Gamay
The red grapes that have been placed whole into wine vats without
crushing gives a wonderful ruby colour to this wine with a tonic
flavour of soft fruit that can be kept.
The Domaine de la Landelle also produces an agreeable rosé Gamay. |
